Bluehouse Capital has begun the modernization of Novodvorska Plaza, its 26,000 sqm shopping center in Prague 4, which us under Cushman & Wakefield asset management. The work gets underway just a year after the investor acquired the asset, which offers 2,000 sqm of office space in addition to 85 stores.
The center’s main tenants are Tesco, H&M, CCC, Deichman, New Yorker, Sportisimo and Datart, but Bluehouse expects important new tenants to sign leases as a result of the work. This is to include a complete overhaul of the mall’s interior and façade, the creation of a new entrance as well as a fresh foods market area and F&B clusters. The owner expects these changes as well as the creation of new outdoor seating restaurants at ground level and on a new terrace to help improve footfall. This currently stands at 4.5 million visitors annually.
Last year, Bluehouse Capital completed a complete renovation of another retail asset, Korso Karvina, a 13,000 sqm center anchored by Albert, C&A, New Yorker and CCC. The center attracts 2 million visitors annually and is the primary retail destination for the city of Karvina.
