Centrum Videnska, a convenience shopping centre located in Brno, managed by PQ Asset Management, welcomes a new tenant – Mall.cz, Czech e-commerce giant, who has signed a new 2,090 sq m lease.
Mall.cz, a leading e-commerce group in CEE offering a very wide range of products available online, has signed a lease for the new premises at Centrum Videnska, a convenience shopping centre located in Brno. Mall.cz opens a 590 sq m showroom and pick-up point, connected with a 1,500 sq m warehouse space. For customers from the Brno agglomeration, the new premises will ensure above-standard fast delivery of goods.
Opening of new premises for Mall.cz is another phase of ongoing improvement programme of Centrum Videnska, realized by PQ Asset Management (PQ AM) – the company managing the property.
Patrik Mitka, Leasing Manager at PQAM, commented: “We are very happy from the fact that Mall.cz decided to join Centrum Videnska. We believe that a combination of online and offline retail will be very appreciated by the clients of our centre. Our further plans for the centre include creation of the new commercial space as well as refurbishment of the selected existing units, allowing us to bring the new quality tenants into the centre and further improve its offer to the customers”.
“Our MALL Mega Shop is the first store of its kind. Thanks to this concept the residents of Brno will get their own showroom where we will offer thousands of the most popular products from the MALL offer, which they will be also able to buy on the spot and take home immediately. Also thanks to the local warehouse, the availability of goods with fast delivery to your home will be significantly improved. We are very happy that we are the first to come to Brno with a similar concept and we believe that it will become very popular among our customers,” comments Jan Hanuš, CEO of MALL Group, on the arrival of the MALL Mega Shop to Brno.
With two million products, MALL is the largest Czech e-shop where customers will find everything they came to the Internet for – from home appliances and electronics, through drugstore, cosmetics or fashion to auto-moto, garden furniture or sports and outdoor equipment. The e-shop belongs to the MALL Group, which operates in nine countries and is the largest e-commerce group in Central and Eastern Europe.
During the negotiations with MALL.CZ, the PQ AM team was advised by the real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield’s team of experts lead by Rostislav Veselý, Associate, Head of New Shopping Centre Development. On the opening of the new shop, he commented: “The new MALL.CZ store, which will make shopping easier for Brno as well as for the whole region, proves that online purchasing further interconnects with the traditional way of shopping in brick-and-mortar shops.”
